The Italian Kitchen has been family owned and operated since 1972. We've been called "Oneonta's Best Kept Secret", "That Quaint Place With Delicious Food", and "The Best Neighborhood Restaurant In Town". No matter what we are known as, we still call ourselves "The Italian Kitchen", because we're a "Real" Italian Kitchen.
Italian Kitchen was the first to introduce calzones to the area as well as their specialty Chicken Wings introduced on SuperBowl XVII, Hawaiian pizza and Fugazza pizza (double layered pizza). Of course, the family recipes handed down through generations complemented their cuisine as well. Mother Josephine always made sure that quality products were used in making the finished product. "You use-ah good things, you Make-ah good food", she always told the boys.
The Italian Kitchen seats about 50 patrons. Take-out and delivery are also popular at The Kitchen. It's closed Wednesdays, and open Thursday - Tuesday 4 PM - 10:00 PM. The Kitchen to this day is a favorite amoung college students, professors, local business people, alumni and countless area families who are "regulars". Some customers who came to the Italian Kitchen as kids, are now bringing in their kids and spouses. Tony's comment on their success over the years is that, "We've always provided great food at affordable prices. More importantly, we've always made everyone feel like family".
