June 19:  City of Oneonta Summer Music Series:  Just Throw Money:  Just Throw Money will kick-off the City of Oneonta's Summer Music Series; an acoustical excursion made up of four talented Upstate New York musicians who play a variety of classic country/folk and 70's tunes.  The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the portable bandstand adjacent to Hodges Pond in Neahwa Park.  In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be relocated to the large pavilion.  For more information contact Orpheus Theatre at 432.1800 or go to the bands website at:

Public Forum on Progress of Construction at Foothills:  A public forum will be held at FPAC to review/report on the status of construction of the new facility at Foothills, 24 Market Street.  The forum will be held at FPAC on the 2nd floor beginning at 7:00 p.m.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend.  For more information call FPAC at 431.2080 or go to:  www.foothillspac.org.

 

June 21:  Al Gallodoro at the Sego Cafe:  The Sego Cafe will reopen for the night to host the Al Gallodoro Quartet to celebrate Al's 95th birthday.  The festivities will begin at 8:00 p.m.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m.  There will be a 9:50 cover charge which includes the first drink.  Limited appetizers will be available.  No reservations accepted; first come, first served.

Rock Fest at Foothills:  FPAC will play host to five bands (heavy metal, mostly) from 1:00 p.m. to 1 a.m.  For more information call FPAC at 431.2080 or go to:

Dairy Day at the Farmer's Market:  It's Dairy Day at the Oneonta Farmer's Market.  Locally made ice cream from Ives Cream, homemade goat milk fudge, goat milk yogurt, a bevy of local cheeses and the famous Udder Challenge from Stone and Thistle Farm.  Live music from 11 to 1 p.m. at the Kim K. Muller Plaza on Main Street under the white canopies beside Key Bank from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine.  For more information call 433.2545.

Oneonta Taekwon-do Seminar:  Raymond Mannion will offer a brief seminar from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  A $5.00 donation is requested to cover the cost of the food and boards, but is not required.  The event will take place at the Oneonta Taekwon-do-Jang located at 12 S.
